Policies

1. Appointment Booking and Cancellations

  • Booking: Appointments can be made via our website, phone, or in-person. Please provide accurate information about your dog’s size, coat condition, and behavior.

  • Cancellations: If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee of up to 50% of your initial grooming cost.

2. Matting and Knots

  • Extra Charge: If your dog’s coat is matted or has significant knots, an additional charge of 30€ will apply. This covers the extra time and care needed to safely brush out the knots before grooming.

3. Final Cost

  • Complexity and Time: The final cost depends on the complexity of the groom and the time taken, which is influenced by:

    • Dog’s size

    • Coat length and condition

    • Behavior (including excitable, difficult, or aggressive behavior)

    • Special considerations for elderly or overweight dogs

4. Additional Charges

  • Extended Grooming Time: Additional costs may apply if the grooming takes longer due to heavily soiled coats, presence of parasites, or other unforeseen circumstances.

  • Nail Trimming and Filing: This service will be performed only if the dog allows it. If your dog becomes too stressed or aggressive, we recommend visiting your vet for nail trimming.

  • Deposit: A deposit may be required for certain services or during peak seasons.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q1: How often should I groom my dog?

  • A: The frequency of grooming depends on your dog’s breed, coat type, and lifestyle. Typically, dogs should be groomed every 4-8 weeks. Consult with our groomers for personalised advice.

Q2: What should I do if my dog has special needs or medical conditions?

  • A: Please inform us of any special needs or medical conditions when booking the appointment. This allows us to prepare and provide the best care possible for your dog.

Q3: Can I stay with my dog during the grooming session?

  • A: For the safety and comfort of all pets, we do not allow owners to stay during the grooming session. This helps reduce distractions and anxiety for the dogs.

Q4: What happens if my dog gets stressed during grooming?

  • A: Our groomers are trained to handle dogs with care and patience. If a dog becomes too stressed, we may pause the session or recommend rescheduling. For extremely stressed or aggressive dogs, we suggest visiting a vet.

Q5: Do you offer services for elderly or overweight dogs?

  • A: Yes, we do. However, these dogs may require more time and care, which could result in additional charges. Please provide us with this information when booking.

Q6: What is included in a full grooming service?

  • A: A full grooming service includes a bath, blow-dry, brush-out, haircut, nail trimming (if the dog allows), ear cleaning, and a sanitary trim.

Q7: How do you handle dogs with parasites?

  • A: If parasites are detected, additional charges will apply for the necessary cleaning and treatment. Severe infestations may require the appointment to be rescheduled after appropriate treatment.

Q8: What if my dog has a heavily soiled coat?

  • A: Heavily soiled coats may require extra time and care, resulting in additional charges. Regular grooming can help prevent this.

Q9: Can you trim my dog’s nails if they are aggressive?

  • A: Nail trimming will be done only if the dog permits it. If a dog becomes too aggressive or stressed, we recommend visiting your vet for nail trimming.
